Paper Reduction
SBUK is gradually moving toward reduced paper usage through digital-first plans including automation and system modernisation. These initiatives are intended to advance our operational efficiency while helping us attain sustainable and paperless processes.
Hybrid Working
Our hybrid working model is intentionally designed for lowering our part of the daily commuting impact in the environment by reducing our energy consumption. Through more organised adjustments to office attendance, we aim to amplify this positive environmental contribution.

Financial Turnaround & Stability
SBUK recorded its first resurgence of profitability in 10 years as of 2021 under the newly appointed leadership team and current governance framework. More than £6 million in dividends has been remitted to Bangladesh since then, contributing to the overall country’s foreign reserve position.
Business Diversification & Institutional Growth
SBUK expanded from a limited-service portfolio to a range of six distinct business lines, marking our first major expansion in over 50 years. Strengthened leadership oversight and restructuring have reinforced governance standards and advanced institutional reliability.
Community Investment & Youth Development
SBUK is to commence the Apprenticeship Programme, designed to support local professional mobility. This initiative also addresses the UK’s shortage of accessible apprenticeships and helps develop future talent, in line with SBUK’s long-term institutional scopes and needs.
Customer Trust & Market Confidence
A recent survey with SBUK’s customer base suggested a 94% satisfaction rate about the concurrent services. 70–75% of the survey expressed interest in a broader institutional capability for the future, reflecting renewed trust in SBUK’s leadership and governance direction.
